Renault Clio II/III 1.2 16v – Won’t rev properly
Symptom
Car just wont Rev at all just ticks over, Stalls when pulling off ? Won’t pick drive up as expected ?
Known Issues
Throttle Potentiometer system looses calibration & requires computer realignment
Throttle body has build up, Crank sensor faulty
Possible Solution
Run Diagnostic test for this common problem to establish if FAULT CODES have been registered referring to Throttle Potentiometer values on Track 1 & Track 2, Realign using Renault Clip Diagnostic tool where possible or replace as required.
Further diagnostic removal or replacement of parts may be required if re-alignment is not successful.
*TOP TIP: Reading on track 1 will start at around 4.5v, Track 2 at around 0.5 volts = 5V TOTAL As you press the pedal (with the engine switched off) as one voltage comes down and the other goes up = TOTAL of 5.0vBut hey should mirror each other and if you add both readings together, they should add up to 5 volts, e.g. 3.7v and 1.3v. The same can be done with with the throttle body readings. Also check the Crank sensor if no faults are present (cranking speed 250-350)
