Our mobile code reading technician can visit you at your home or work place to perform a diagnostic fault code reading, connecting our dealer level diagnostic tool to your vehicle to help determine the cause of the problem. This service is only available in the Northampton area. To arrange a test please contact us.

Renault Key Cards

Do you have “CARD NOT DETECTED” displayed on the dash? We may be able to help you with these problems. Note: Any existing functional keys must be present as they will cease to function when new keycard is coded also proof of ID ownership usually a copy of the logbook & driving licence or utility bill.

MOT's ARRANGED

We can collect your car from your home or work place at a time that is convenient for you and take it to an independent MOT station on you behalf. Once your vehicle has been tested we can then return it to you. If your car fails it’s MOT, we can advise you and provide a quotation for the necessary repairs.

I found this guy online and he came out at my convenience and checked it all over with me and let me photograph the faults and definitions (so I could show my garage if it needed work) it said there was a misfire in cylinder 4 like xxxxx said so he took out the coil in cylinder four and swapped it with cylinder one to see if the misfire would change. Low & behold it did change with the coil so ended up being a really cheap fix compared to the £700 that shell tune quoted me can’t recommend his service enough…

What does a Code Read & Reset involve?

Our mobile code reading technician can visit you at your home or work place to perform a fault code reading to help determine the cause of the problem with your vehicle.
Connecting our dealer level diagnostic tool to your vehicle via the OBDII socket that is usually located under a plastic cover around the dashboard area allows us to begin reading the vehicles engine management system.
We will retrieve and record any stored fault codes & definitions e.g: FAULT CODE P1101 – MAF Sensor out of range.
With your permission, we will attempt to delete the stored fault codes. (sometimes there are old un-relavent codes left in the system from previous faults, clearing these will allow us to focus on the current returning fault codes).
Any returning codes will be noted on a Diagnostic Report sheet which will be left with you to keep. At that point we can give you an estimate for repairs with no obligation.

Any additional testing which requires part removal can be carried out in the workshop if required where we can carry out deeper diagnostics using traditional tools & techniques.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Sometimes this test will not conclusively identify the cause of the fault & thus further investigation may be required to avoid replacing unnecessary parts. This can either be done by ourselves or other specialists as required. No parts or mechanical repairs are included in this service.
